The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has completed its electronic integration system for all medical fitness procedures - a prerequisite for visas. The results are then sent to the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai for visa processing purposes in real time. The new process makes for smarter and faster testing.
Maisa Al Bustani, director of medical fitness at the DHA said "Once the applicant completes the screening procedures, he/she will receive SMS alert and we will send the results electronically via an email. The results are sent to the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs Dubai for visa processing purposes in real time; so the process will now be much quicker."
She added that the authority has also begun streamlining medical fitness services to enhance the customer's journey and make typing centres a one-stop-shop for them. "So far, 25 typing centres both located within medical fitness centres of DHA and external ones have been accredited and authorised to provide services.
Individuals and companies with less than 50 employees need to go through typing centres for visa issuance and renewal. "Companies with employees above 50 will be provided with unique username and password so that they can directly fill the applications on the system. Individuals and companies with less than 50 employees need to go through typing centres to fill out their applications for visa issuance and renewal," Al Bustani added.
