The flagship GO Sport megastore in Mall of the Emirates is their largest single level store in the world, and boasts one of the largest product ranges of the brand’s eight stores in the Middle Eastern region.
You’ll be spoilt for choice with the wide variety of equipment and in-store activities available, including a basketball court and a virtual trainer that allows you to try different bicycles on routes from around the world before making a purchase. There is also a gait analyser to help runners move more efficiently and several interactive apps dotted around the store designed to help you choose, personalise and use the right products. I was there to check out the 12-metre volcano-shaped climbing wall! Decked out in the kit (available for hire) I was hooked up to the automatic belay system and I was away. Well sort of, apparently having vertigo and needing to put your trust in the rope is not a successful combo! What followed was some rather energetic climbs followed by some rather amusing panics as I realised I had to get down again! The team took it all in their stride and I had loads of fun - definitely worth trying out!
