The kids will love the Dubai Butterfly Garden, the world’s largest and the region’s first indoor butterfly garden and sanctuary for over 15,000 butterflies from 26 species. Open weekdays from 9am to 9pm and on Friday and Saturday from 9am to 11pm, entrance is Dhs 40 for adults and Dhs 30 for kids aged from three to 12 years.

The magic of water

The Dubai Fountain may be one of Dubai’s most compelling tourist attractions, but have you taken the kids yet? If not, plan an early supper at Dubai Mall and treat the tots to a water display like no other. The Dubai Fountain shoots water jets up to 500 feet in the air to create a complete aquatic ballet. See it daily (except Friday) at 1pm and 1.30pm and then every 30 minutes between 6pm and 11pm. You could also treat them to The Dubai Fountain Lake Ride, priced at Dhs 65 per person. This runs from 5.45pm to 11.30pm and the last boat departs 30 minutes prior to closing. Visit www.burjkhalifa.ae/en/around-the-burj/the-dubai-fountain.aspx.
