‘She is’ ladies’ night at Sass Café

There are no ladies’ nights quite like the ones in Dubai. And if you must pick and choose from all the places offering incredible deals to get the girls there with their BFFs, Sass Café tops the list. The legendary Monte Carlo brand will give ladies the opportunity to mingle every Wednesday with free drinks from 8pm to 11.30pm and a three-course set menu for Dhs 199, inclusive of beverages. After a delicious appetiser, diners can choose a signature main with options including grilled baby chicken marinated in garlic and lemon or grilled fillet of sea bass with Mediterranean vegetables, followed by a dessert. Wednesday night special at Thai Kitchen

Thai chefs prepare authentic dishes at this award-winning restaurant nestled in Park Hyatt. Dinner tables are placed close to the kitchen so guests can experience the hustle and bustle of downtown Bangkok when chefs are at work. Wednesday nights here are extra special because diners do not have to pick and choose from the menu. An extensive buffet means you can sample a little of everything. Diners are served dishes such as papaya salad, pomelo salad, pad Thai, steamed sea bass, homemade coconut ice cream, made using the freshest ingredients. Enter the dragon at China Grill

Split across two floors (a bar area on one and restaurant on the other), China Grill is renowned for its Asian inspired cuisine. If you want to enjoy a good evening out, Thursdays are recommended. Expect a supper club setting where you can indulge in a selection of its decadent dishes served to your table. There’s a side of free-flowing sparkling and house beverages. Bench brunch at The Daily

This casual spot in Dubai’s funkiest, traveller-friendly hotel turns the most important meal of the day into the most exciting one without the need to wake up early. Breakfast gets an upgrade with the introduction of a buffet of hot and cold plates, selection of cheeses, just-baked pastries, assorted cereals, fresh fruits and juices. Plus, diners can order a main dish from the kitchen. And because breakfast isn’t complete without your morning dose of caffeine, The Daily’s expert barista will be around to make you an aromatic cup. 12-hour brunch at JW Marriott Hotel

What’s better than regular Friday brunch? This: JW Marriott’s 12-hour brunch. There’s an extensive buffet across its restaurants The Market Place and Bamboo Lagoon, with dishes changing throughout the day. Plus, there are live cooking stations dishing out Chinese, Mexican and International favourites. If you’re on a seafood diet, the fresh seafood section has you sorted. There’s one for Bavarian specialities too. Pair your meal with a drink from the beverage station and enjoy the live entertainment while you eat to your heart’s content. Tasting night at Shanghai Chic

Stylish and modern pan-Asian restaurant Shanghai Chic offers diners an unlimited tasting night which is nothing short of a feast. Available daily from 7pm to 11pm, diners can order as much as they like from a set menu which features appetisers such as papaya salad, crispy chicken, Asian style French toast); sushi (spicy tuna, California, crispy salmon roll); steamed dim sums such as chicken barbecue buns or deep-fried ones like spring rolls and kunafa wrapped prawns. It doesn’t stop there. There are soups, seafood, meat and poultry dishes along with vegetarian dishes and rice or noodles. The menu also includes a barbecue section and other meats. Monday
Tasting menu at Folly by Nick & Scott

This contemporary European restaurant offers some of the best views in Madinat Jumeirah. Brainchild of chef duo Nick Alvis and Scott Price, the restaurant is a success with residents and if you’re willing to try it, do so with its five-course tasting menu offer. For Dhs 295 per person, diners are treated to dishes such as fried bread with sage, onion and spelt; monk fish cheeks, crispy hen’s egg and lamb saddle; and the delectable chocolate and hazelnut dessert. Don’t be surprised if you’re left craving this stuff days later. Dining in groups is recommended. For an additional Dhs 200, sommelier Viktorija Paplauskiene will pair each dish with the finest spirits and wine. The restaurant is open from 5pm onwards. Folly by Nick & Scott, Madinat Jumeirah.
