Ramadan is upon us so, whether you are looking for a traditional Iftar and Suhoor or something a little bit different here’s our pick of the best...

Towers Rotana. Flavours on Two at Towers Rotana Dubai has collaborated with Epicure Catering to make a difference and launch The Iftar Exchange, a charity campaign that starts at the beginning of Ramadan and lasts throughout the holy month. With every Iftar purchased from Flavours on Two at Dhs 139 per person, a contribution of one nutritional and hearty packaged Iftar box will be donated to less fortunate individuals at labour camps in Dubai, provided by Epicure Catering. Dubai World Trade Centre. During the holy month of Ramadan, Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) invites you to experience authentic Middle Eastern hospitality at the Majlis, located in DWTC’s Za’abeel Hall 6. Enjoy a vast and delectable selection of the finest Arab cuisine, ranging from appetising starters and satiating mains to refreshing beverages and delightful desserts, all within a stylish Arabesque setting. Le Classique. The award-winning restaurant at Emirates Golf Club will be serving a three-course menu for Iftar every day except Mondays. Chef Rami’s special menu includes delicious starters and main courses, followed by a sharing platter of traditional Arabic desserts. Catch Dubai. Since its launch in 2015, this is the first year that the New York import will be offering its guests an Iftar menu. Diners can break their fast with dates, soup and a mezze platter followed by appetisers such as short rib tacos, crispy shrimp and Southern fried chicken. Mains include a choice between herb roasted branzino, Korean fried chicken, mushroom spaghetti and short rib. The finale is a s’mores pizza served with ice cream. Coya Dubai. This Ramadan, Coya Dubai continues its third year of association with the Humanitarian society to run a food drive. Coya’s employees, volunteers and even the guests prepare, package and deliver delightful dishes from Coya’s kitchen to each individual employee at the labour camps across Dubai. Open to all guests that would like to lend a hand, the drives will take place every Sunday and Wednesday as of the 28th May. Sapori Di Bice. This Ramadan Sapori Di Bice has the perfect alternative to the traditional Iftar - a delectable eight course Italian tasting menu with an Arabic twist for Dhs 168. Designed with sharing in mind, and featuring exclusive dishes for the month of Ramadan, Sapori di Bice have designed a mouth-watering menu combining Italian and Middle Eastern flavours. The little ones can get involved in kid friendly activities with a traditional flair from Ramadan themed cake pop decorating and crafting their own “Ramadan Kareem” or “Happy Eid” cards. Dubai Marina. Traditional in theme, Constellation ballroom at The Address Dubai Marina will host a grand buffet every evening during Ramadan. In addition to Emirati dishes such as robyan mashwi (grilled prawns), tekat deyay (chicken kebab marinated in Arabic spices) and luqaimat (sweet dumplings), the spread also includes international dishes, desserts and Ramadan juices. Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach. A.O.C. French Brasserie’s Iftar features Arabic, Moroccan and Turkish cuisines as well as favourite dishes from all over the globe. Enjoy soothing melodies from the Santoor player and experience the traditional art of henna. The Iftar buffet is priced at Dhs 140 per person including Ramadan juices and water and is complimentary for children up to the age of 12 with two children free per paying couple and half price from 13 to 17 years old. The Suhoor set menu will be available daily from 10pm until 3am at Plantation Restaurant & Terrace. Choose an appetiser, soup, main course and dessert from the set menu for Dhs 70 per person. Mint Leaf of London. Located at the heart of DIFC in Emirates Financial Towers, Mint Leaf Dubai is the perfect place to spend time this summer, whether for a world-class dining experience or a casual after work catch up with friends and colleagues. Throughout Ramadan, Mint Leaf Dubai will continue its all-day dining from 12pm until late, with Iftar served daily from sunset and a Ramadan set menu available each evening. JW Marriott Marquis Dubai. Indulge in a memorable Iftar experience at Al Fanous, the Ramadan lounge at the iconic Dubai Ballroom, accompanied by the soulful rhythms of live oud players. Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort. Celebrate the holy month of Ramadan with sumptuous buffet dining at Crescendo, Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort. Discover a host of delicious feasting options to satisfy every appetite in a stylish setting with live kanoun entertainment. Begin with a truly traditional breaking of the fast with jallab, tamer hindi, kamer aldein, laban earan, karkadé juices and plain and stuffed dates. Madinat Jumeirah. Pai Thai, Al Qasr Madinat Jumeirah, is offering a treat for the taste buds with its three-course special set menu during Ramadan. Join Nick & Scott at their newly-opened Madinat venue and enjoy an intimate experience at the eight-seater open kitchen to observe the team up close and in full flow this Ramadan. Le Meridien Dubai. Celebrate Ramadan in the relaxed and family friendly Layali Zaman Majlis within the Falcon Ballroom. From sunset onwards, Layali Zaman will transform into a Middle Eastern oasis, for a peaceful, relaxing and memorable Ramadan. The Iftar buffet includes an array of interactive cooking stations, preparing delicious traditional Arabic and International favourites, as well as a lavish buffet spread that includes over 100 dishes. Sheraton Dubai Mall of the Emirates Hotel. Enjoy a lavish Turkish Iftar, shop the night bazaar and relax with your favourite Turkish soap operas at Besh Turkish Kitchen. Enter the gates of Besh to the Ramadan Bazaar - a pop up night market featuring Turkish produce from jewellery, clothing, home décor and food produce. Open all evening, the bazaar allows you to take home a slice of Turkey, pick up items for Eid celebrations or purchase the ingredients of your favourite Besh dish to make at home. ENAB Beirut Dubai. Dubai’s new Lebanese restaurant, ENAB Beirut Dubai in City Walk is all set to celebrate their first Ramadan season with delicious Iftar and Suhoor offerings. The Iftar menu includes beloved traditional Lebanese dishes such as cold and hot mezze items, two main dishes, a dessert and soft drinks. For a late-night indulgence a set Suhoor menu in addition to the a la carte menu will be served each evening until 3am. The Ritz-Carlton Dubai. The Ritz-Carlton’s Loulou’a ballroom will be transformed into a majlis decked with art pieces this Ramadan. Open for Iftar and Suhoor, Mamemo majlis will offer an extensive selection of dishes from Middle East, North Africa and Asia. The live stations will serve up favourites such as ouzi (lamb and rice), fatteh (a Levantine bread dish) and grilled meats. The Iftar buffet is priced at Dhs 220 for adults and Dhs 110 for children. Rüya Dubai. Rüya Dubai, Grosvenor House Hotel, invites you to celebrate Ramadan with its array of Anatolian style dishes to be shared and enjoyed with family and friends. There is an abundant selection of delicately prepared cold and warm starters such as Muhammara, Citir Kalamar, Borek and Pide. Followed by one of the mouth-watering main courses from the a la carte menu designed by Executive Chef Colin Clague, and finished off with a selection of sweat Turkish treats with a light and refreshing tea. Le Cirque Dubai. Located in the heart of DIFC the newly opened Le Cirque Dubai will be offering a choice of signatures dishes from a pre-set menu, with three starters, main dishes and desserts to choose from this Ramadan. Serving up classic French fare with an Italian twist, where taste and dining experience are paramount, the restaurant offers terrace views and a winter garden. Priced at Dhs 245. Call 04-3722444.

Punjabi By Nature. Punjabi By Nature’s, an authentic Punjabi restaurant located in Oud Metha, Iftar menu is set to host a wide variety of mouth-watering vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes with dollops of pure butter and ghee. Chef Vineet Kumar has created a menu that includes appetisers like Papdi Chaat and Bhatti Da Murg, main courses like Chicken Tikka and Fish curry and some delectable deserts like Mango Shrikand and Gulab Jamun. Hyatt Regency Dubai. Enjoy Iftar at Al Dawaar, Dubai’s only revolving rooftop restaurant, Hyatt Regency Dubai. Al Dawaar will feature a lavish buffet along with spectacular panoramic views of the sea, the creek and the city. The buffet will include traditional Ramadan delicacies, beverages and Emirati dishes for Dhs 180 per adult including traditional Ramadan drinks and Dhs 90 per child (aged 6 to 12 years). Conrad Dubai. Conrad Dubai’s family friendly Iftar at Ballarò is a great place to break the fast and embrace the spirit of Ramadan. Priced Dhs 160 per person. Call 04-4447111.

Atlantis, the Palm. Reform Social & Atlantis, the Palm’s official Iftar will be hosted in the glamorous ballroom Asateer, one of Dubai’s most famous and beautiful Ramadan tents. At Dhs 210 guests can enjoy an Iftar buffet from 6.30pm until 8.30pm, for a minimum spend of Dhs 160. The Suhoor a la carte menu will be on offer from 9pm until 2.30am. QD’s. Boasting views of Dubai’s skyline and the creek, QD’s air-conditioned Ramadan serves Iftar buffet-style with options including soups, traditional hot and cold Arabic mezze, Middle Eastern and international main courses, delicious desserts and traditional Arabic sweets. DUKES Dubai. DUKES Dubai, the quintessentially British, five-star hotel on Palm Jumeirah, is marking the holy month with a carefully curated menu of traditional favourites including juicy dates, Arabic mezze and indulgent sweets. Iftar and Suhoor will be served at the hotel’s signature brasserie-style outlet Great British Restaurant (GBR), which boasts a dramatic setting overlooking the Gulf, with a live oud player enhancing the authentic ambience. BiCE Ristorante. Italian ristorante BiCE, Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Beach, is welcoming family and friends to enjoy a special Iftar offering, with an Italian twist. From sunset, families and friends can enjoy a gastronomic sharing concept three-course menu featuring tasty starters, appetising mains and delicious desserts. Intercontinental Dubai Festival City. Enjoy the finest culinary treats of Ramadan, with an intimate and private Iftar dining experience in a Presidential Suite. Iftar is a time to get closer to family and friends and to bring communities together, and Gaucho Dubai is offering the means to do exactly that with an Argentinian flair and a heavenly hunger diminishing three-course Iftar menu. For an Iftar with a difference, Rang Mahal by Atul Kochhar will host a sumptuous Iftar with 11 dishes celebrating the heritage of Indian cuisine infused with a modern twist. Flooka. Combining the freshest seafood and stunning views, Flooka has long been a dining favourite. Nassima Royal Hotel. Celsius Restaurant at Nassima Royal Hotel in Dubai, has unveiled its exclusive Ramadan nights with a traditional menu crafted by Executive Chef Hossam Abu Assi. Enjoy a wide selection of Arabic cuisines including Emirati, Lebanese, Syrian, Egyptian and Moroccan. There’s also an extensive spread addressing dietary concerns. Chef Hossam focuses on replacing high-fat dishes with fresh and light foods such as vegetables, herbs and dairy products. Ingredients including olives, thyme, tomato slices, chickpeas and beans that are free of fat and calories have been incorporated into the dishes.
